With This Ring, I Thee Dread
5.0 out of 5 stars No Steamy Padding, Just Sheer Enjoyment, June 7, 2010
This is the first e-book I've read by Ruth Ann Nordin, and I'm looking forward to reading more of her work. I totally enjoyed it. Unlike many romance novels today that are more soft core pornography, Ms. Nordin's books are sensitive well written stories with beautiful characters you can fall in love with, page by page, no padding needed. She had me hooked by the first chapter. As a self-published writer and editor of my own small press, I highly recommend "With This Ring I Thee Dread". It's romantic comedy at its best. Think Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves! Hint: Any Movie Producers out there? I give "With this Ring I Thee Dread" Five Well-Deserved Stars!

In the middle of the night, a young Mandan Indian woman, Woape, flees her tormentors. When Gary Milton finds her, he doesn't know why three Indian men want to harm her. But he's sure of one thing: he must save her. So he does. Feeling safe with him, she follows him home. Haunted by her past and stuck in a white man's world, she clings to him and becomes his wife. But her past is not far behind, and when it catches up to her, much more is at stake than before. Will she ever find the peace and security she longs for? Or will her life be in the hands of her tormentors forever?

Another One of Ruth Ann Nordin's Best! - June 26, 2010
"Restoring Hope" another one of Ruth Ann Nordin's Best, is a tender, sensitive story of Woape, a young Mandan Indian woman who is taken prisoner by a rival tribe's cruel warrior, Hothlepoya. Tortured and humiliated, Woape, escapes in the middle of the night. All seems lost until she crosses paths with Gary Milton, a kind young white man. He doesn't know why three Indian men want to harm her, but he is sure of one thing: he must save her. So he does. Woape clings to him and follows him everywhere. Gary nicknames her tenderly, "his shadow," as he falls irrevocably in love with her. She becomes his wife, but this is only the start of their adventure, as the ruthless Hothlepoya has sworn to find her. Ruth Ann Nordin has a wonderfully creative imagination. That's why I'm drawn to her books. She has that special quality of writing a romance with mystery and adventure all dovetailing to thoroughly entertain and permanently hook her reader. I give "Restoring Hope" a well-deserved Five Stars. "Restoring Hope" is the first of a planned Native American Romance trilogy. I look forward to reading them all.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Beautiful Story! Well Worth the Read - June 14, 2010
"Eye of the Beholder" kept me glued and entertained to the very last page. People like Dave and Mary are rare, but when you meet couples like them in real life, they are a wonder and well-worth keeping as friends. The love scenes between husband and wife are gentle and sensitive and only add to the beauty and plot line of the book. To me it said, "What matters most in the love between a man and a woman, is the beauty within." Ms. Nordin is a great writer. I have to admit the characters came alive on the page and completely absorbed me so that I forgot I was reading a book.
